{Economical: Al Furat News} The Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, said today, Friday, that his country is ready to export electricity to Iraq, Libya, Sudan and Jordan, and that it has a surplus that is sufficient for what they need.

And he continued in a speech, during his meeting with senior commanders of the Egyptian armed forces, today, Friday: "We have excess electricity. We can give Libya as many as 1000 or 2000 megawatts, and Sudan the same, and Jordan and Iraq if they want 1000 or 2000 megawatts to provide them."
The Egyptian President added, "What has been accomplished during the past seven years is very much thanks to God Almighty."

Although Iraq spent about 60-80 billion dollars on electricity after 2003, according to official figures, the problem of electricity still persists in it and it is unable to produce sufficient electrical energy for the consumption of its citizens.
Iraq produces 19 thousand megawatts of electrical energy, while the actual need exceeds 30 thousand megawatts, according to officials in the electricity sector, and it is also holding talks with Gulf countries, led by Saudi Arabia, to import electricity, including linking its system with the Gulf system, after it was dependent on Iran to import 1,200 Megawatts of electricity and gas fuel to feed local power plants.
Residents have been protesting for many years against frequent power cuts, especially in the summer, if temperatures sometimes reach 50 degrees Celsius.
