The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is preparing to launch the unified registry for managing data of beneficiaries with disabilities and distributing their entitlements. The head of the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs in the Ministry, Zikra Abdul Rahim, told Al-Sabah: The aim of establishing the unified register for social protection is to manage the data of beneficiaries with disabilities and distribute benefits fairly through an accurate database of their personal information, as well as coordination and communication between the main stakeholders and to enhance protection and social support for citizens and present them in a more effective and comprehensive manner. She added that the importance of establishing the unified registry at the level of the central government in Baghdad and the Kurdistan region of Iraq and moving forward to reach its final stages based on planning processes, continuous coordination and harmonization between the central government and the regional government.
