The Parliamentary Government Program Monitoring Committee revealed, on Tuesday, its quest to implement the first amendment to the population census law.
Committee member MP Muhammad Karim Al-Baldawi said, in an interview with the official newspaper, that "the most important laws on the parliament's agenda are the first amendment to the General Census of Population and Housing Law, the Statistics and Geographical Systems Law, the Reconstruction Fund, and other laws related to the Sovereign Fund."
Al-Baldawi pointed out that "the House of Representatives must conduct its sessions to choose important laws in cooperation with the government, as there are many of them that are not yet approved, so work will be done to arrange them according to their importance and priorities and to present them in the remaining sessions of the parliament's life until the date of the elections."
