    The first meeting between the Iraqi Military Technical Committee, headed by the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations Lieutenant-General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and its American counterpart headed by the Commander of the Operations Forces of Solid Resolve in Iraq, Lieutenant-General Paul Calvert, was held today, Saturday, in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, within the framework of the security technical talks, which were agreed upon. It was in the strategic dialogue session held on the seventh of last April.


    A statement by the Joint Operations Command stated to Alsumaria News, "The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations Staff Lieutenant-General [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/2719644287/%D8%B9%D8%A8%D8%AF %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%85%D9%8A%D8%B1 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B4%D9%85%D8%B1%D9%8A/ar/]Abdul Amir Al-Shamri[/url], Commander of Operations Solidarity Forces in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]During the meeting, the US side reiterated its respect for Iraqi sovereignty.





     
    The statement added, "The international coalition led by the United States is present in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] At the request of the Iraqi government to provide advice, support and enable the complete defeat of the terrorist gangs of ISIS.
     
    "The two sides agreed on a framework for future sessions to discuss the long-term security relationship between two sovereign states," the statement added.
