Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein called, on Friday, for the importance of achieving integration and fruitful and constructive cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities; This is in the interest of the Iraqi people.
A statement by the Minister’s office, of which Mawazine News received a copy, stated that this came during the hosting that the Minister attended in the House of Representatives, which was called by the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, in the presence of the advanced angel in the leadership of the ministry, and it was discussed that several files were discussed, which the Parliamentary Committee considers the importance of circulating them with Mr. The Minister, and provided clarifications about them. His Excellency the Minister provided a full explanation of these files. The Minister also talked about the outcomes of the strategic dialogue rounds with Washington, and touched upon the Ministry’s policy within the directions of the government curriculum, and the national constants of Iraq, reviewing the premises and priorities of foreign policy at this stage that is based on balance and achieving common interests.
He stressed that the ministry aims to establish and deepen Iraqi relations on the basis of common interests and common risks, stressing the need for complementary work, the formulation of national diplomatic performance, and continuous consultation between the executive and legislative authorities, which contributes to strengthening Iraq's relations.
In the internal matter, the minister revealed that the ministry has made efforts towards improving its reality further, noting that “the ministry has doubled its efforts with the aim of reform, preparing diplomatic staff at a high level, and working to unify mechanisms to support the Iraqi community,” and follow up on their needs, while noting that efforts will continue to develop the work. ; To contribute to providing services to citizens at home and abroad.
It is worth noting that this hosting comes in the interest of maintaining the relationship between the ministry and the parliamentary committee, and putting it in the form of activities, political developments, and clarification of the ministry's work.
