On Sunday, the Supreme Judicial Council issued a judicial ruling against the position of Prime Minister, on the issue of assault by riot forces during the demonstrations, while documents issued by the Council made it clear that the case had moved to the stage of appeal and discrimination.
According to documents issued by the Baghdad Appeal Presidency / Al-Rusafa Federal, obtained by NRT Arabiya, (July 25, 2021) that “the court decided to order the defendant (the Prime Minister / in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces / in addition to his position), to pay the plaintiff (H, M) a material compensation of 500,000 five million dinars, and compensation The moral value of 10,000,000 ten million dinars, with the lawsuit dismissed with an increase, and the parties charged with the relative fees and expenses based on Articles 219 and 220 of the Civil Code.
While the documents indicated, "the lawsuit has moved to the stage of appeal and cassation, due to the incompleteness of the elements of the case, and that the compensation is exaggerated."
