The Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee, on Saturday, identified two reasons behind wasting billions on lagging projects.
The head of the committee, Walid Al-Sahlani, said, according to the official agency, that "corruption is behind the reluctance of projects in general, at the level of the health services sector or water projects that were referred during the past years," noting that "corruption lies in the nature of referring projects to companies and the extent to which those companies are able to complete. work, in addition to poor planning in setting up projects, and not providing the financial cover, which causes a waste of public money.”
