Al-Zawraa newspaper, which is published by the Syndicate of Journalists, said yesterday, Saturday, the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership was launched with the participation of leaders of countries (France, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, UAE, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Iran), the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Secretary-General of the Islamic Cooperation Council, as well as representatives Regarding the permanent members of the United Nations, the
newspaper quoted Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi as saying in the opening speech of the conference: “We welcome the countries participating in the Baghdad conference,” noting that “the Baghdad conference embodies Iraq’s vision in establishing the best relations and we hope to achieve economic partnerships.” at the Baghdad conference.
He added that "Iraq has faced great challenges, and our ambition is great in its reconstruction, and we opened the door to receiving investment companies, and we sensed international seriousness in supporting investment in Iraq, and we seek to activate projects and restore life in all Iraqi cities."
He pointed out that "terrorism represents a common danger to everyone, and Iraq refuses to use its territory as an arena for conflicts," noting that "Sistani's meeting with the Pope represents a qualitative leap in tolerance and brotherhood."
Al-Kazemi explained that "the government asked the international community to support the October elections, and we received international support for holding the elections," stressing that "there is no return to undemocratic paths."
And he indicated that "the conference in Baghdad embodies a vision of the need to establish the best relations with the countries of the world based on the foundations of cooperation, integration, non-interference in internal affairs, and the predominance of the language of dialogue, partnerships and mutual respect," stressing, "We pledged that with this government taking responsibility, Iraq would restore its role."
