Iraq: The average price of exported oil to Jordan reached $58 a barrel
Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Oil Marketing Company "SOMO" announced on Saturday that the average price of crude oil exported to Jordan amounted to $58 during the month of September.
The company said in a statistic on its website, seen by Shafak News Agency, that "the total oil exports to Jordan during the month of September amounted to 275 thousand and 274 barrels, with an export rate of 9200 barrels per day."
She indicated that "the average price of a barrel sold to Jordan amounted to 58,576 dollars," noting that "the value of imports from Jordan's oil exports during one month amounted to 16 million and 124 thousand and 468 dollars."
She pointed out that "Iraq has not exported crude oil to Jordan since December 2020, after the expiry of the contract signed between the two parties to export 10,000 barrels per day to Jordan."
Iraq exports crude oil to Jordan at preferential prices that are 12 to 14 dollars less than the original price, and by 10 thousand barrels per day, it is exported via truckloads.
Yesterday, Friday, the Ministry of Oil announced the total exports and revenues achieved for the month of September, according to preliminary statistics issued by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company "SOMO".
According to the statistics seen by Shafak News Agency, the amount of crude oil exports amounted to 92 million and 422 thousand and 485 barrels, with revenues of six billion and 711 million and seven thousand dollars.
The statistics indicated that the total quantities of crude oil exported for the month of September from oil fields in central and southern Iraq amounted to 89 million and 224 thousand and 354 barrels.
As for the Kirkuk fields through Ceyhan port, the exported quantities amounted to two million and 922 thousand and 857 barrels, while the quantities exported to Jordan amounted to 275 thousand and 274 barrels, indicating that the daily average of total oil exports has reached three million and 81 thousand barrels per day, and that the average price per barrel It amounted to $72,612.
