, Representative Basem Khashan revealed, on Wednesday, details of the refrigerator deal for the Ministry of Health, pointing out that those involved fled with more than 6 billion in their possession.
Khashan said, via "Facebook", that "a conscious hand that knows the law can "clap alone", after the conviction of those involved in the refrigerators deal and their imprisonment for four years, and after the verdict was ratified, the Ministry of Health sent a letter to the Amnesty Committee claiming that there was no harm to public money. And the price of 42 million per refrigerator is very appropriate, so the Amnesty Committee issued its decision to include them in an amnesty, and the convicts were released without returning the stolen money.
He added: "When I learned of this decision, I contacted the Integrity Commission in Baghdad, and asked them to distinguish the decision of the Amnesty Committee, because, the Court of Cassation overturned the decision and decided to return them to prison, but they fled outside Iraq, with what was lightly loaded from the money they stole."
And Khashan added: "I did what the constitution requires me to protect public money, but the ministry was a reason for the convicts to escape, with more than six billion they stole from the money treating the poor."
And the deputy published a copy of the decision to overturn the inclusion of the convicts in the pardon. Ended 29 / A 43
