    Today, Tuesday, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi, discussed with his Jordanian counterpart, Nayef Istitieh, joint cooperation in the social and labor fields.
    A statement by the Ministry of Labor stated, "The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi, met his Jordanian counterpart, Nayef Istitiah, on the sidelines of chairing the meeting of the Higher Committee for Manpower Planning in Iraq, held in Amman, where they discussed ways to organize benefiting from opportunities available in the areas of vocational training, social security and affairs." labor.”
    He added that "the two sides discussed, during the meeting, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance Taif Sami, the Iraqi Ambassador in Amman Haider Al-Adhari, the President of the General Federation of Trade Unions in Iraq, the Director-General of the Department of Labor and Vocational Training and the National Coordinator of the International Labor Organization, the importance of involving women in work, occupational safety and the sustainability program, as well as On providing support to private sector companies and cooperating in formulating employment policy, a decent work program and social security.
    Al-Rikabi said that "Iraq is interested in strengthening cooperation with Jordan and removing any obstacles in its path," stressing "the depth of the historical relations between the two countries, which have the ability to achieve joint achievements in various files, especially with regard to labor and social development affairs, by benefiting from experiences and exchanging them between the two countries.”
    He pointed out that "this visit comes as a continuation of the efforts aimed at increasing the volume of joint cooperation in various aspects, exchanging experiences, discussing joint projects through the meetings of the Jordanian-Iraqi committee, and setting mechanisms for cooperation in vocational and technical training, employment and benefiting from the Jordanian experience in the social field."
    For his part, Jordanian Minister of Labor Nayef Istitieh affirmed his country's keenness to "develop cooperation with Iraq in the fields of work to serve the interests of both parties, pointing to the depth and strength of relations between the two countries."
