    Today, Sunday, the Minister of Agriculture, Engineer Muhammad Karim Al-Khafaji, directed the support and follow-up of projects that contribute to the agricultural sector.
    And the ministry stated in a statement received by the "National News Center", that the minister chaired the meeting of the National Seed Council to discuss a number of topics related to the agricultural field within the agricultural plan for the current winter agricultural season, in the presence of the technical agent of the ministry, Dr. Mithaq Al-Khafaji, and the ministry's advisors, Dr. Al-Qaisi and the members of the Council.
    The minister stressed, according to the statement during the meeting, that “the ministry will continue to overcome the obstacles facing the progress and development of the agricultural sector, and discussed a number of topics on the meeting’s agenda, including reviewing the treatment of obstacles to the process of preparing seeds for the higher ranks of the wheat crop in the governorates, and discussing the request of the Mesopotamian General Seed Company on The rights of barley seed growers (Ibaa 99, 265)”, directed “the need to follow up on projects within the investment plan and to develop appropriate solutions for them to increase the perpetuation of work and effort that contribute to the development and advancement of the agricultural sector.”
    The statement continued, “While the Council approved the letter of the Seed Examination and Certification Department regarding a request to amend the classification of the amount allocated to the field inspection campaign, the Council also reviewed the letter of the Citizens Affairs Department on requests for obtaining approval for a grant for a license to purify and dry wheat, barley, yellow corn and rice seeds and refer them to the relevant committee.” .
