A jump in dollar sales at the Central Bank auction
Shafaq News/ Dollar sales in the Central Bank auction, on Monday, increased significantly, reaching more than 224 million dollars.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated that today, during its auction for buying and selling US dollars, the Central Bank witnessed an increase in its dollar sales by 8.74% to reach 224 million and 809 thousand and 91 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, compared to yesterday, Sunday. With sales of 206 million 469 thousand and 71 dollars.
Our correspondent added that most of the bank's sales that went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 173 million and 589 thousand and 91 dollars, while the remaining amount of 51 million and 220 thousand dollars went in cash.
Our correspondent indicated that 28 banks have met requests to enhance balances abroad, and 19 banks have responded to cash requests, in addition to 196 mediation companies.
