Dhi Qar Oil Company revealed, on Sunday, the developments of the gas investment file in the Al-Gharraf and Nasiriyah fields, while setting the date for the commercial announcement of oil exploration in the Arido field, which is located between the governorates of Dhi Qar and Muthanna.
The company's general manager, Ali Khudair, told the official agency and it followed him, "The South Oil Company concluded a contract with Lukoil in 2012 for discoveries, and the exploration period was completed in drilling 9 oil wells."
He added, "During this month or the following month, the commercial announcement of the oil discovery in Block 10, which is the Arido field, located between the provinces of Dhi Qar and Muthanna, will be announced."
He pointed out that "there are negotiations with Chevron on oil explorations in the north and south of Dhi Qar Governorate, but they stopped until the establishment of the new government in Iraq," stressing that "the negotiation process is continuing, in addition to the presence of other requirements for the expansion of the tenth block by the operator, for more than contracted space.
With regard to gas investment, he explained, "a contract has been made with Baker Hughes Company to establish a gas processing plant from the Al-Gharraf and Nasiriyah fields, with a production capacity of 200 million standard cubic feet per day." finished 25
