Today, Tuesday, the Federal Integrity Commission announced that it has worked on more than 18,900 criminal cases during the past year.
The commission said in a statement issued during its conference to announce its achievements report for 2021, that the defendants in these cases include 54 ministers and those of his rank, and more than 420 defendants of special grades, general managers and those of their rank.
Integrity indicated that 632 convictions were issued, including one against a minister and forty-two judgments against twenty-three people with special degrees, general managers and those of their rank.
In its annual report, the commission also confirmed that more than 370 files were opened to receive the convicts and the accused and recover the smuggled money.
The commission stated that it had worked on 224 judicial decisions in absentia to extradite convicts and fugitives wanted by the judiciary during the past year, noting that the fugitives and convicts included six ministers and those of their rank, and seventy-nine of those with special degrees and general managers.
