The Federal Integrity Commission announced today, Thursday, the arrest of a fraudster who impersonated a work in one of the control agencies to "pass personal ends."
The commission's investigation department said, in a statement received by Mawazine News, that "a work team from the commission's investigation office in Kirkuk governorate was able to arrest a fraudster who impersonated a branch of one of the regulatory agencies in Diyala governorate."
And she explained, "The accused visited the commission's investigation office in Kirkuk, to follow up on the issue of the similarity of the names of his brother in one of the pending cases in the commission's investigation office in the province, while he claimed that he works in a branch of one of the regulatory agencies in Diyala," noting that "the office's staff demanded him By showing the identity of his department, however, he claimed that he joined his job as a contract two months ago and does not have an identity card.
She noted "the speed of the office's actions taken and the high coordination with the party that impersonated it, which in turn lied his claim and denied any connection with it, so that a judicial arrest warrant was issued and he was caught in flagrante delicto."
She added, "The team organized a fundamental arrest report in the process, transcribed the accused's statements, and presented it, along with the investigation papers, to the judge of the Kirkuk Investigation Court, which is competent to look into integrity issues, who decided to arrest the accused pending investigation."
