, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi received today, Wednesday, an official invitation to visit Iran, and promised to fulfill it as soon as possible.
The media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives stated in a statement received by Mawazine News that the latter "received today the assistant to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the head of the Foundation for Martyr and Martyr Affairs Amir Hussein Qazi and his accompanying delegation," noting that "the meeting, which was attended by the head of the Martyrs Foundation, Abdul Ilah Al-Naeli. He discussed the joint memorandum of understanding, which included several items and mechanisms of cooperation and partnership between the two countries to serve the cause of the martyrs, victims and their families.
Al-Halbousi affirmed, according to the statement, "the legislative authority's support for the memorandum of understanding and the work of the Martyrs Foundation and everything that serves this segment and guarantees its rights, in appreciation of their sacrifices and in service of their families."
For his part, the Assistant President of the Iranian Republic congratulated Al-Halbousi on his re-election as Speaker of the House of Representatives in its fifth session, conveying the greetings of President Ibrahim Raisi and Shura Council Speaker Muhammad Baqer Qalibaf to the Speaker of Parliament.
Al-Halbousi conveyed the guest's assistant president, "his greetings to the Iranian president and the Speaker of the Shura Council", offering his "thanks for the congratulations and the official invitation to the visit, which he promised to meet as soon as possible." Ended 29/N33
