The Governor of Kirkuk, Rakan Saeed al-Jubouri, revealed, on Saturday, the reasons for the scarcity of fuel at private and government stations, while revealing the governorate's share of the fuel allocated by the central government.
Al-Jubouri said, to the official news agency, that "the province of Kirkuk has been witnessing for days a great crowding of governmental and private fuel stations," noting that "the share of the province received from the Ministry of Oil / the General Company for Oil Products is (one million three hundred and fifty thousand liters), as the Part of this share is improved fuel, which is sold for (650) dinars."
Al-Jubouri added, "The biggest problem is the occurrence of Kirkuk with neutral governorates, especially the cities of the Kurdistan region, which are witnessing a rise in fuel prices that more than double, and thus makes Kirkuk a site to attract, desire and obtain fuel for citizens in the specified governorates in Kirkuk, which puts a heavy burden on the citizens of the province." Which has been relying on coupons to supply its fuel for private and public vehicles since 2014 until now. Ended 29/R77
