    The Information/Baghdad…
The Ministry of Construction and Public Municipalities announced, on Tuesday, that there are more than 70 projects to rehabilitate roads and bridges that are being implemented and financed by the German loan and the World Bank.
The Director of the Roads and Bridges Department, Jassem Kazem, said in a statement seen by / the information /, that "the department is implementing more than 70 projects within its investment plan, funded by the German loan and the World Bank, where some of them reached advanced rates, while another section stopped due to the companies' reluctance."
Kazem added, "Among the important projects is the construction of the second corridor of the Batira-Al-Fajr-Al-Badir road in Dhi Qar, as its implementation has reached 60%, and it has a vital role in linking the southern and central governorates with Highway No. 6 and the Iraqi-Iranian border."
He explained, "The corridors of external roads witness many traffic accidents, and accordingly the department decided to implement dozens of projects for the second lanes, including the Karbala-Razzaza road and the Kut-Badra-Mehran road," noting that "there are 25 projects for the maintenance of roads and bridges included in the investment plan, in addition to Completion of emergency projects in record time, such as constructing a fence for the Jadiriyah Bridge after it was damaged, as well as the expansion joints of the two-story bridge.”
Kazem pointed out that "93% of the reconstruction and rehabilitation project of the Al-Kaweer concrete bridge in Nineveh has been reached, after it was exposed to terrorist acts by ISIS terrorist gangs, at a financial cost of nearly five million euros." finished/25
