    [size=45]The government has completed the first phase of the Chinese agreement by announcing projects that included the establishment of schools, and the development and rehabilitation of Nasiriyah International Airport, while it is discussing new agreements with the German side to activate previous memoranda of understanding signed with Siemens regarding the electricity sector.[/size]
    [size=45]The spokesman for the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, Haider Majid, said in televised statements followed by Al-Mada that "the framework agreement with the Chinese side, after its entry into force, included the signing of a contract with Chinese companies to rehabilitate and develop Nasiriyah International Airport."[/size]
    [size=45]Majid added, "This project is vital and its impact is not limited to the province of Dhi Qar, but the surrounding provinces and the whole of Iraq, as it returns many positive aspects to achieve the public interest."[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out that "Al-Nasiriyah International Airport will be a brand and a launch pad for trade exchange between Iraq and the world," and talked about "technical and administrative measures that will be taken regarding this contract."[/size]
    [size=45]Majeed explained that "the second agreement included the signing of 15 contracts with two Chinese companies, namely (Por Jaina) and (Suntech) to build 1,000 schools, and all plots of land were distributed, and these two companies began fencing and preparation operations with the installation of devices in many governorates and the sites of the resident engineer.[/size]
    [size=45]He stressed, "The two companies will soon start establishing this project, with a plan to include 3,000 schools within the current year and 4,000 schools for the next year, bringing the total to 8,000 schools."[/size]
    [size=45]Majeed pointed out, "There is continuous coordination with the Ministry of Planning for the purpose of starting the inclusion of vital projects, because Iraq needs infrastructure, address the file of lack of services, and work to complete thousands of projects that have lagged behind for ten years."[/size]
    [size=45]He stressed, "The government has taken into consideration the inclusion of these projects in the draft federal budget law for the next fiscal year to be in the direction of reconstruction and include all provinces in terms of moving stalled and lagging projects or starting new projects within the agreement with China."[/size]
    [size=45]Majeed stated, "The projects will include all governorates, but the selection of these projects will be according to need, since there are areas in urgent need of road sectors, bridges and residential complexes."[/size]
    [size=45]And the government spokesman stated, “The agreement with China is open and not limited to certain stages, and it includes all sectors, and for its part, the government has provided financial allocations through the fund designated for this agreement and the technical, administrative and legal procedures that follow, and the parties to the agreement only have to implement the projects that were included in coordination. with the Ministry of Planning.[/size]
    [size=45]He stated, "The Iraqi movement not only included China, but there was a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Al-Ghazi, with the German ambassador in Baghdad, Martin Yahr, which included inviting German companies to enter strongly in the Iraqi arena."[/size]
    [size=45]Majeed continues, "Iraq is a fertile ground for investment and welcomes all countries wishing to work," noting that "a contract will be activated with Siemens to develop the energy sector," noting that "the German side spoke of its desire to work in Iraq within various sectors, such as the economic sector." infrastructure and construction.[/size]
    [size=45]He added, "The communication with the German side is an extension of the previous agreement, as there was a visit of a government delegation headed by Mustafa Al-Kazemi to Germany, during which he met the head of Siemens, and the meeting witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding."[/size]

    [size=45]The German ambassador in Baghdad had stated on the sidelines of a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers that “Iraq is a key and very important partner for Germany in all fields, and that it possesses economic and commercial capabilities that qualifies it to form partnerships in various sectors.”[/size]
