A member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Dilshad Shaaban, described, on Monday, that the call of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, for independent parliamentarians, is patriotic.

Shaaban said in an interview that "the attempt to disrupt the parliament session aims to bring the country into a constitutional vacuum and sabotage the political process."
He added that "the situation requires the independent representatives who were elected by the people to attend parliament sessions because this is their legal duty, and they say their opinion by voting, with any party."
Earlier, the leader of the Sadrist movement, called on members of the House of Representatives to get out of the "neck of consensus", while calling on independent representatives to assign the voting session to the President of the Republic.
