Earth News/ The Federal Integrity Commission revealed today, Wednesday, the issuance of a summons order against the former head of the Babylon Provincial Council, due to violations committed in the process of nomination and election of the former governor.
In a statement received by Earth News, the authority stated that "the Hilla Investigation Court, which is specialized in looking into integrity issues, issued a summons order against the former head of the Babylon Provincial Council," noting that "the recruitment order came against the background of the violations committed in the case of accepting the nomination of the former governor of Babylon."
She added that "the order was issued based on the provisions of Article (331) of the Penal Code, for not taking into account the recommendations of the committee specialized in checking the resumes of candidates for the position of governor," noting that "the committee recommended not accepting the nomination of the former governor for the position; This is due to the failure of one of the nomination conditions, which stipulates that the candidate must be a resident of the governorate.”
And she added, "It had previously announced the issuance of arrest and recruitment orders against former governors and local officials in Babil Governorate, including: Issuance of a summons order against the current governor; for deliberately committing a violation of his job duties.”
