The Federal Integrity Commission announced, on Wednesday, the issuance of two recruitment orders against a number of former senior officials in Babil Governorate; for intentionally committing a violation of their job duties.
The authority said in a statement that "the Hilla Investigation Court, which is specialized in integrity issues, issued an order to bring in the former governors of Babylon, the current and former presidents of the Babylon Investment Authority, the current deputy head of the Investment Authority, and (3) of the former directors of the municipality of Hilla, in the case of granting a property located in the city of Hilla - Street (40) as an investment opportunity, contrary to the investment law.
The statement added, "The former governors granted approvals to invest the property as an exclusive opportunity, pointing out that a forged registration copy was used to obtain the investment permit for the property belonging to the Hilla Municipal Directorate, despite the presence of signs of inaction on it issued by the Hilla Court of First Instance."
And she added, "The Hilla Investigation Court, which is specialized in looking into integrity issues, issued an order to bring in two members of the former Babylon Provincial Council, against the background of violations committed by the committee formed for distributing the assets of the Babylon Hotel," noting that "the accused (the head of the distribution committee and one of the members) distributed the assets of the Babylon Hotel. hotel, without any legal basis.
The authority indicated that "the Hilla Investigation Court, which is competent to look into integrity cases, issued the two recruitment orders, based on the provisions of Article (331) of the Penal Code."
