The Federal Integrity Commission announced, on Wednesday, the issuance of a summons order against the president and members of the Salah al-Din Provincial Council; This is based on the provisions of Article (329/2) of the Iraqi Penal Code.
And the Commission's Investigation Department, while talking about the details of the case that it investigated and referred it to the judiciary, stated, according to a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of, that "the Integrity Investigation Court in Salah al-Din issued a summons order against the head of the provincial council and (15) ) of its members,” indicating that “the order was issued against the background of the issue of refusing to return the wheels owed by them after the end of their term of work in the provincial council.”
And the department added, "The matter also included three heads of local councils in the district of Yathrib, Tikrit, and Dujail, and a member of a local council in Balad, in addition to a legal employee, against the background of the accusation and the same legal article."
The commission had announced on the seventh of this June that its procedures resulted in a number of important files and cases in the issuance of (9) warrants and warrants of arrest, seizure and recruitment against officials in various governorates of Iraq, including against the president and members of the provincial council. This comes in the midst of a clear escalation in the context of the commission’s work, especially after the commission’s president urged during his field visit to a number of commission investigation directorates and offices across the country.
