On Wednesday, the Secretary-General of the Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades, Abu Ala' al-Wala'i, called on the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, to reverse his decision regarding the formation of the government.
Al-Wali said in a tweet via Twitter, which was followed by "Mawazine News", "When our brother, Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr decided to withdraw from the elections, I was the first to call him to reverse his decision, so he thankfully responded later to all the calls."
Al-Wali’i stressed, “Now I invite him to return to the Shiite house, especially since what happened on Saturday and Wednesday is a victory for the right of the largest component, which is an important pole in it. Let us all gather under the tent of Ali (peace be upon him) for the sake of Iraq.”
And the leader of the Sadrist movement, earlier today, Wednesday, reiterated his assertion not to go to form a "consensual share-sharing" government, noting that "the political blockage is easier than agreeing with you and better than sharing the cake with you."
Al-Sadr said in a tweet via Twitter, followed by Mawazine News, "I will not agree with you. Consensus means the end of the country. No to consensus in all its forms. What you water with political obstruction is easier than agreeing with you and better than sharing the cake with you. There is no good in a consensual government. stakes.”
Al-Sadr asked, "How will you agree with the blocs while you are striving against all the components and all the partners you are trying to win over to your camp?"
Al-Sadr addressed the Iraqi people, saying: "Oh, the Iraqi people, I will not bring you back to your previous tragedies, and this is a false promise. The country will not be subject to subordination, occupation, normalization and quotas...and the people will never bow to them...and peace." Ended 29/R77
