Today, Thursday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed that the food security law will be completed within 15 days.
A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Nazim Al-Shiblawy, stated in a statement to Al-Iraqiya, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the Parliamentary Finance Committee has set a maximum time period of 15 days to complete the emergency food security support law,” noting that “the law will depend on the financial abundance achieved from high oil prices."
He added, "The law will include the needs of the projects of the Ministries of Electricity and Oil," noting that "the members of the Finance Committee reject the borrowing clause in the law."
Today, Thursday, the Finance Committee hosted the Ministers of Electricity and Oil and the Advanced Landlords in the two ministries.
The Media Department of the House of Representatives stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the hosting session was held under the chairmanship of Hassan Al-Kaabi," noting that "the hosting came to discuss the emergency support law for food security and development."
