Today, Friday, the Sovereignty Alliance and the Kurdistan Democratic Party affirmed their adherence to the partnership with the Sadrist bloc.
A joint statement between the Sovereignty Alliance and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "while we appreciate the position of Muqtada al-Sadr and his initiative towards expediting the formation of a strong government that works to address the complex files facing the Iraqi people, we affirm our adherence to our partnership with the Sadrist bloc." A strong government cannot be born without their partnership."
The statement added, "The Alliance of Sovereignty and the Democratic Party have clearly declared their adherence to the (Save a Homeland) alliance as the hope that Iraqis are waiting for."
He stressed: "The Sovereignty Alliance and the Democratic Party are keen on constructive dialogue with everyone away from external interference in order to bring the country to safety, and we also stress the keenness on the understanding of the brotherhood within the Shiite house and their agreement to nominate the Sadrist bloc's candidate for prime minister and to put forward a ministerial program and platform in line with the reality The country enjoys the support of the main components and forces.
