    The Ministry of Commerce announced that rice stores in Al-Atifieh silo and Kasra and Atash stores will start preparing local rice (amber and jasmine) as part of the Ramadan food basket.
    And the company’s general manager, Muhammad Hanoun, said, in a statement received by the news agency, that “in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Commerce, Dr. Alaa Al-Jubouri, the staff of his company began working in rice stores in the Al-Atifieh sites, breaking it and thirst, by preparing Baghdad’s agents in the Karkh and Rusafa areas with local rice within the vocabulary of the Ramadan food basket.” .
    He added, "After transferring the quantities of local rice from the governorates that manufacture rye to Baghdad stores, the preparation of amber and jasmine rice was started for the people of Baghdad within the food basket vocabulary."
    He pointed out that the quantities of rice prepared for the agents from the two sites were, Al-Atifia supplied the agents with a quantity of (319,673) tons within the Ramadan basket, while the quantities of local rice supplied from the Kasra and Atash stores amounted to (85) tons.
    He pointed out, that the areas that were prepared from rice stores in Al-Atifiya included the areas of Baghdad / Karkh (Latifiya and Mahmoudiya), while the stores of Kasra and Atash prepared the areas of Baghdad / Rusafa, agents of Sadr City for the supply centers (Al-Miqdad and Muhammad Al-Qasim).
    On the other hand, the Al-Atifiah, Kasra and Thirst sites continue to receive the local transferred rice from the Najaf and Al-Diwaniyah branches, which is manufactured in the private pools according to the transfer plan approved in the Marketing Department.
