The Iraqi government decides to increase the purchase price of wheat from farmers to 850 thousand dinars
Shafaq News/ On Tuesday, the Council of Ministers decided to visit the prices of buying marketed wheat from farmers and farmers to 850 thousand dinars per ton instead of 750 thousand.
And Trade Minister Alaa Al-Jubouri said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, "The Cabinet decided, during its session today, to adopt the decision of the Ministerial Council for the Economy to increase the prices of marketed wheat from farmers and farmers to 850 thousand dinars per ton, after its previous decision was to buy a ton at an amount of 750 thousand. Dinar".
He added, "The Council of Ministers discussed the repercussions of the economic crisis, the decision of the Federal Court on the Food Security Law, and the decision of the Ministerial Council for the Economy to increase the purchase price of wheat by 100,000 dinars per ton."
He pointed out, "The decision comes within the framework of government support for farmers and farmers and the success of the marketing season," noting that "the ministry expects that the marketed quantities of wheat will reach two and a half million."
He continued, "There are great efforts being made by the ministry to make the marketing season successful, and farmers and farmers cooperate to market the crop, and the technical and administrative authorities in the registration centers provide all facilities for the success of the marketing season."
Yesterday, Sunday, the Director General of the General Company for Grain Trade in the Ministry of Commerce, Muhammad Hanoun, announced that the quantities of marketed wheat had exceeded the 800,000 tons mark since the start of the marketing season.
