    Today, Monday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi issued directives related to drugs, power towers, oil pipelines, and arrest warrants.

    Al-Kazemi said in a speech during his attendance at the expanded security conference of security leaders held at the headquarters of the Joint Operations Command, that "the government is facing some challenges that have multiple repercussions, which in turn were reflected in aspects of financing, management and others," noting that "the responsibility is shared by the security services and the armed forces, In protecting our country and society from drugs and uncontrolled weapons, which are major challenges that require more efforts.”

    He added that "there are clear field and military achievements in pursuit of terrorist remnants of ISIS, and it is imperative to commend the intelligence effort accompanying these operations, and we must invest momentum towards confronting organized crime and sabotage elements," directing "the Border Guard Command in the Ministry of Interior to continue and strengthen the efforts made; to prevent Infiltration and drug smuggling, while harnessing the resources of the Ministry of Interior to secure this."

    He stressed "all security and intelligence services and border guards to prevent the crossing of drugs from international borders, and to follow up and hold the traffickers, promoters and drug users accountable, to eliminate this scourge that is destroying the social fabric," noting that "the security services should develop plans to secure the necessary protection for electric power towers." and protect it from targeting by terrorist elements.

    He stressed, "The necessity for the police directorates to start working with the municipal departments in the capital, Baghdad and the provinces; to remove abuses on public and private properties, and to show cities in an appropriate manner," pointing out "the need for the Energy Police Directorate to carry out its duties in securing protection for oil pipelines and preventing any abuses on them."

    Al-Kazemi stressed "all security authorities to implement enforceable legal arrest warrants and follow up on legal procedures," directing "to follow firm behavior towards those who bypass or assault security men by carrying out duties, and leaders should protect their affiliates from any clan targeting that may weaken their power."
