    Today, Monday, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi discussed with the foreign ministers of Egypt and Jordan the political, economic and security fields, while it was stressed that coordination within the framework of the tripartite cooperation mechanism to face the current challenges.


    Al-Halbousi's office said, in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that the latter "received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, in the presence of Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein."






    The meeting discussed, according to the statement, "strengthening joint cooperation in the political, security and economic fields, and confirming the continuity of coordination and consultation within the framework of the tripartite cooperation mechanism between Iraq, Egypt and Jordan to face the current challenges."

    Al-Halbousi stressed, "Iraq's keenness to strengthen its relations with the two countries and develop cooperation mechanisms in all fields, as well as coordinating positions in international forums to serve the peoples of the three brotherly countries."

    The Egyptian minister conveyed "the greetings of President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, just as the Jordanian minister conveyed the greetings of Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein to the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament." While the President conveyed the two ministers his greetings to King Abdullah II and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.


    The two ministers affirmed the position of their leadership and the keenness of their countries to develop joint cooperation in all fields, support the security and stability of Iraq, and work to strengthen its position and restore its standing in the region and the world, as well as forming a unified vision to confront challenges.
