    Yesterday, Monday, Interior Minister Othman Al-Ghanimi praised the intelligence agency’s work in curbing organized crime, while stressing the quest to move permanently to electronic work instead of paperwork in the ministry’s departments.
    A statement by the ministry stated, "After the great achievements and heroic deeds carried out by the brave men in the intelligence agency, whether in killing and arresting the leaders and elements of ISIS terrorist gangs and combating organized crime, Al-Ghanimi visited the headquarters of the intelligence agency."
    He added, "The Minister of Interior listened to a brief explanation about the most prominent achievements of the agency, as he was received by the Undersecretary for Intelligence and Federal Investigations and a number of officers."
    Al-Ghanimi praised, according to the statement, “the work of the intelligence agency and the intensification of its efforts in its field work in various times and circumstances and the great development in it and in all respects,” describing it as “the eye of Iraq.” He stressed, "Information and intelligence work is the essence of security work, and that this agency has become one of the important intelligence institutions that are referred to as stubbornness, after it was able to obtain information that was translated on the ground with painful blows to the leaders of terrorism and its elements, as well as the curtailment of organized crime."
    For his part, the intelligence undersecretary affirmed that "Iraq deserves of all its people to be at its disposal and to continue working for a better future for generations and for security and prosperity to prevail in the country of values ​​and civilizations."
