    Economy News-Baghdad
Today, Sunday, the Najaf Investment Authority revealed its most important economically feasible projects. While it announced the granting of 340 licenses and 19 industrial projects, including four major industrial zones, it determined the completion percentage of the investment asphalt plant in Najaf and the date of its trial opening .
The head of the commission, Durgham Kiko, told the Iraqi News Agency, "The Najaf Investment Commission has granted more than 340 investment licenses throughout the province, distributed among all investment sectors, industrial, agricultural, residential, commercial, entertainment, service, health, educational and other projects that They are aimed at developing the province, providing job opportunities and meeting the needs of the province,” noting that “the quality projects in Najaf Governorate are residential and industrial projects .”
Kiko added, "The authority has awarded 19 industrial projects, including four major industrial zones, as well as health projects, as we have more than 16 health projects in the governorate ."
He pointed out that "the province of Najaf was not identified with a specific investment project or a specific sector, but the investment projects varied in all sectors ."
Regarding the investment asphalt plant, Kiko said: "We have reached advanced stages, with the completion rate reaching 90 % , and it is hoped by the end of this year that the experimental opening of the plant, which is the first of its kind in Iraq and can cover the Middle Euphrates region with asphalt and oil, will take place. For cars, which in turn will serve the neighboring provinces of Najaf .
He continued: "A lease has also been granted to the industrial economic city located in the network area, and now the contract is in the process of concluding and implementing the industrial city project, which will provide more than 5,000 job opportunities for the people of Najaf ."
Regarding the lagging projects, Kiko explained, "Legal measures were taken against violators, an initial warning and a final warning were given, and fines were imposed and the investment license was withdrawn based on Article 28 of the amended Investment Law No. 13 of 2006. "
And he indicated, "The number of licenses for which legal measures have been taken for lagging projects is more than 112 investment licenses."
