Algeria hands Saleh and Al-Kazemi two invitations to attend the Arab Summit
Shafaq News/ A high-ranking Algerian delegation that arrived in the capital, Baghdad recently, delivered two invitations to the President of the Iraqi Republic, Barham Salih and Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, to attend the Arab Summit to be held in Algeria next November.
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by Shafaq News Agency, stated that "President Barham Salih received at the Peace Palace in Baghdad the personal envoy of the Algerian President, Abdel Majid Tabun, the Algerian Minister of Justice, Abdel Rashid Tabbi, and at the beginning of the meeting, the minister conveyed greetings and appreciation of the Algerian President Abdel Majid Taboun to President Barham Salih handed him an official invitation to attend the Arab Summit to be organized in Algeria next November. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the importance of working to strengthen them in various fields and joint coordination in a way that achieves common interests. Arab, regional and international issues of common interest were also discussed, stressing the importance of joint coordination to ease regional tensions and end existing crises in the Arab region. .
In the context, a statement by Al-Kazemi's office stated that the latter received the envoy of the Algerian President, Minister of Justice Abdul Rashid Tabbi, and his accompanying delegation, and the guest minister conveyed to the Prime Minister the invitation of Algerian President Abdel Majid Taboun to participate in the Arab summit to be held in Algeria next November.
Al-Kazemi stressed Iraq's keenness to make the summit a success and to actively participate in its work.
His Excellency expressed Iraq's aspiration that this summit would play a key role in strengthening the Arab ranks and the unified position on its crucial issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause.
The Prime Minister praised the historical relations between Iraq and Algeria, and the desire to develop them in various fields, stressing Iraq's aspiration to convene the joint ministerial committee between the two countries soon, and to strengthen bilateral work for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.
