    [size=45]The military advisor to the German forces in the Kurdistan Region, Colonel Tom, confirmed his country's support for the reform process within the Ministry of Peshmerga.[/size]
    [size=45]A statement by the Ministry of Peshmerga stated that "the military advisor to the German forces in the Kurdistan Region, Colonel Tom, visited the Ministry of Peshmerga today and met with a number of its officials."[/size]
    [size=45]The statement added that, "during the meeting, they discussed the progress of the reform process within the Ministry of Peshmerga, where the German chancellor confirmed his country's support for this process."[/size]
    [size=45]The statement continued, "The two sides also discussed the relationship between the Ministry of Peshmerga and the Federal Ministry of Defense and cooperation between them, and the German chancellor stressed that he would work to consolidate the relationship between the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Peshmerga."[/size]
    [size=45]In November 2018, the United States, Britain and Germany prepared a project to reform the Ministry of Peshmerga, aimed at unifying forces while institutionalizing and restructuring the Peshmerga forces.[/size]
    [size=45]The project consists of 35 points, approved by the Kurdistan Regional Parliament in 2018. The project is being worked on by two groups, one from the Ministry of Peshmerga and the other from the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany.[/size]
    [size=45]The Peshmerga forces participated in the fighting against ISIS with the support of the International Coalition forces.[/size]
