The media office of the former President of the Republic, Barham Salih, revealed today, Thursday, the latter’s meeting with the Prime Minister-designate, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani.
The office stated in a statement that "the former President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received the person in charge of forming the government, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, and congratulated him on the occasion of his assignment."
Saleh said, according to the statement, that "the most important thing now is to work and join hands in order to protect the security and stability of the country, face huge challenges, serve the Iraqis and meet their aspirations for reform and a decent, free life."
