    Economy News _ Baghdad
Today, Wednesday, the Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, revealed that the Kingdom's total imports of Iraqi oil during last October amounted to 405.550 thousand barrels, an average of 13 thousand barrels per day.
Al-Kharabsheh explained in a press statement, which was reviewed by Al-Iqtisad News, that the total quantities of Iraqi crude oil supplied to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from the first of September 2021 until the end of October 2022 amounted to about 3 million barrels that were transported by 11565 Iraqi and Jordanian tankers from The site of the modern Kirkuk warehouse to the site of the Jordan Petroleum Refinery / Zarqa.
Jordan imports Iraqi crude oil under a memorandum of understanding for the supply of crude oil signed between the Jordanian and Iraqi governments in force since the beginning of September 2021, according to which the Jordanian side purchases Iraqi crude oil (Kirkuk crude oil) to meet part of its annual oil needs at a rate of 10,000 barrels per day. The basis of the monthly average Brent crude oil minus $16 per barrel, to cover the quality difference and transportation fees.
According to this memorandum, the Jordanian side is obligated to provide basin tanks to transport Iraqi crude oil from the modern Kirkuk depot in Iraq to the Jordanian Petroleum Refinery in Zarqa. The tanks will be distributed equally between the Jordanian and Iraqi companies.
