Today, Monday, November 14, 2022, the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdel Latif Jamal Rashid, received the Prime Minister, Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani, and the ministers.
At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Republic reviewed the results of his participation in the Arab summit in Algeria and the climate summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, and the meetings that His Excellency held with the leaders of brotherly and friendly countries, referring to the wide Arab welcome for Iraq to assume its pivotal role in the region and the world.
The general situation in the country was also discussed, and the problems afflicting the various sectors and the steps taken to solve them were reviewed, including the outstanding issues between the center and the region and the issue of water. Emphasis was placed on the need to unite the national ranks and make efforts to address the outstanding problems through cooperation, solidarity, and response to the aspirations of citizens. In this context, the President of the Republic stressed that he would make all possible efforts to reach an understanding with neighboring countries in order to reach permanent agreements that reserve Iraq and everyone's right to fair water shares.
The President of the Republic indicated that the government enjoys popular support and this is a source of strength for it, adding that from his position he will work to support the government action program that aims to improve the living and service conditions of citizens and protect the security and stability of the country, praising the government's work and efforts in this regard.
The Prime Minister appreciated the supportive positions made by the President of the Republic to support and consolidate the government's efforts to serve the citizens, advance the country, and consolidate security and stability, stressing that the government is moving forward in this path, and that it is determined to bring about a radical change in the file of services in order to meet the aspirations of the people.
