The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers revealed, today, Friday, a governmental approach to build low-cost housing units and provide soft loans, while confirming the issuance of directives from Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani to provide services to all governorates without exception.
The spokesman for the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, Haider Majeed, told the official news agency, followed by Mawazine News, that "the Prime Minister directed more than one occasion towards providing services and reconstruction to all governorates of Iraq without exception, and from this standpoint the engineering effort team was formed, which is now working in more than from the province.
He explained, "The directives also included building low-cost housing units, and this is in line with the strategic plan to reduce poverty and help the poor classes, as well as finding alternatives to slums in coordination with the concerned governorates and ministries," noting that "the project will achieve real financial benefit in terms of low costs and speed of completion." He added, "The government's approach also includes providing services in the next stage, including helping citizens below the poverty line, in addition to the existence of directives in which government banks were instructed to provide soft loans with reduced interest for the purpose of construction."
He continued, "The residential complexes that will be built in the governorates will be similar to the city of Bismayah, and this matter concerns the Investment Authority and the land areas there will determine whether the construction is horizontal or vertical."
Majeed confirmed, "The Ministry of Planning has statistics and data on the level of poverty in the provinces, and it had a successful experience in distributing low-cost homes in the provinces, and there was a successful experience in Anbar province." Ended 29 / M99
