On Monday, the head of the National Investment Authority, Haider Makiya, directed that housing units in Bismaya be delivered to citizens registered on the electronic platform.
The authority stated in a statement, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “its Chairman, Haider Makiya, held a meeting of the opinion committee and discussed work developments in the residential city of Bismaya,” indicating that “the meeting stressed the importance of proceeding with the completion of procedures related to the South Korean Hanwha company, and financing the project.” Registered citizens receive housing units.
The statement added, "The meeting discussed the necessity of strengthening the components of the local investment environment by simplifying procedures and implementing the law to ensure investor protection and encourage confidence in the investment reality in Iraq."
Makkiya directed, according to the statement, “to hand over the housing units in Bismaya to citizens registered on the electronic platform.”
