    Alsumaria News – An
    informed source told Reuters today, Wednesday, that the decision of “OPEC +” to hold its meeting on the fourth of December, by default, indicates a weak possibility of changing policy.


    The virtual meeting will also focus on the EU's imminent deal to cap the price of Russian oil before the bloc's Dec. 5 deadline for a complete ban on purchases of seaborne Russian crude.






    The source explained, "OPEC + prefers to wait at this time and evaluate the outcome of what will happen on Monday."

    The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and allies among them meet[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], in what is known as (OPEC +), while the imminent European Union ban on Russian crude imports looms, and a ceiling on the price of Russian oil imposed by the Group of Seven, which raises questions about supplies.

    In October, OPEC+ agreed to cut production by two million barrels per day, equivalent to 2% of global supply.
