Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of the Interior affirmed the government's efforts to support security institutions, while noting that security is an important pillar and tool for development.
The ministry's spokesman, Major General Khaled al-Muhanna, said, "There are efforts by the government and Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani to support the Ministry of Interior, especially since it has suffered a lot during the last period due to the lack of sufficient allocations for all the ministry's formations."
He explained, "The Ministry of Interior plays large and significant roles and confronts the risks and threats facing society through its formations that deal with the security aspect, in addition to its tasks with regard to the service side through the departments of nationality, traffic and civil defense, and therefore it needs the support and support of the government for it by allocating funds to it in order to Provide these departments with supplies.
He added, "Security is an important pillar and a tool for development," stressing that "bold decisions were issued by the government, with close follow-up by the Minister of Interior, in order to develop the work of security institutions in terms of administration and work mechanisms."
In a related context, Al-Muhanna said, "The Ministry of Interior adopted, more than a year ago, the fight against smuggling networks of oil derivatives," noting that "continuous qualitative operations and vigorous efforts in this regard, in cooperation with the formations of the security services."
