Shafaq News/ On Saturday, Iraqi parliament member Alia Nassif called on the Iraqi government to respond to the statement of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council, which is usually "biased towards Kuwait" and carries "the worst forms of hypocrisy".

In a press statement, received by Shafaq News Agency, Nassif described the statement issued by the (Gulf Cooperation Council), which includes Iraq's demand not to violate Kuwait's sovereignty, as "a statement that is flagrantly biased towards Kuwait and represents the worst form of hypocrisy."
And she said, "At a time when we open our doors to our Arab surroundings and build bridges of trust and positive relations with the Gulf states, the so-called Gulf Cooperation Council issues this disgraceful and disgraceful statement in which they demand that we respect Kuwait's sovereignty and not violate international resolutions and agreements, and even address us arrogantly that We are completing the demarcation of the maritime borders beyond Mark 162.”
Nassif explained that "the Gulf countries deliberately ignore the Kuwaiti attacks on the lands and territorial waters of Iraq and the killing and kidnapping of Iraqi fishermen from time to time, and turn their face away from Kuwait's attempts to fully acquire the Khor Abdullah channel and thwart the Al-Faw port project by constructing a port that does not benefit from it, knowing that the countries of The Gulf (governments and peoples) know very well that Security Council resolutions in this regard are unfair and unfair, and the Iraqi people have paid the price for it.
Nassif stressed the need for "the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to issue a strong response to this statement and not to compliment any Gulf country at the expense of Iraq's sovereignty and dignity."
And yesterday, Friday, the Gulf Cooperation Council said in a statement that it stresses “the importance of Iraq’s commitment to the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait and non-violation of international resolutions and agreements, especially Security Council Resolution No. 833 regarding the demarcation of the borders between the two countries and the agreement regulating maritime navigation in Khor Abdullah, concluded between the two countries and deposited with the nations.” United".
The Council called on the Republic of Iraq to complete the demarcation of the maritime borders with the State of Kuwait beyond Mark 162, expressing its categorical rejection of any violation affecting the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait and its preservation of its right to respond in accordance with legal channels, according to the expression of the statement.
