    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:[/rtl]
[rtl]The representative of Basra Governorate, Adnan Al-Jabri, expressed his position on the decision of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council regarding the Durra field.[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Jabri said in a press interview, “The decision of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council is not based on correct foundations,” noting that “every country overlooking the Arabian Gulf has an economic zone and an adjacent area, and therefore the Durra field is located within the areas within the Iraqi maritime borders.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out that “the Durra field is a shared area between Iraq, Kuwait, Iran and Saudi Arabia,” adding that “singling out one country in this field does not comply with the United Nations Sea Agreement of 1982, nor does it apply with the standards of international shores or riparian countries, let alone countries that share In bays, in the seas, or on shared beaches.[/rtl]
[rtl]The member of the House of Representatives added, “The field must be subject to an agreement for all countries that have a right to it and not be invested by one party only,” pointing out that “Iraq is located within the economic zone, and When we boycott the economic zone of Iraq and the rest of the countries, Iraq will have a large part.” From this field.[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Jabri called on the Cooperation Council to “reconsider their decision regarding the Durra field,” adding, “There must be fairness in evaluating the returns of this field.”[/rtl]
