Member of Parliament, Jassim Al-Moussawi, held the Ministry of Foreign Affairs responsible for claiming Iraq's rights in the oil and gas fields located in the region, while stressing that Iraq has many rights in the Gulf region and the facts.
Al-Moussawi said, in a press interview seen by Taqaddam, that “members of the House of Representatives stressed the need for Iraq to participate as a member of the countries that held many meetings regarding the geographical region and its dispute over gas fields,” noting that “there are parliamentary demands to register Iraq’s rights in its sessions inside the dome of parliament.” during these days".
He added, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs bears the responsibility of claiming Iraq's rights in the Arab region," pointing out that "this region has been subjected to many wars during the past years, which led to the disappearance of many important fields, but the facts confirm the existence of lands that belong to Iraq."
The member of the House of Representatives explained that “Iraq, as a member of the group of countries in the region, has the right to oil, gas, water and navigation fields, and many privileges in this economic region,” noting that “Mesopotamia is an effective element in the Arab Gulf region.”
