The Independent/- A member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Ali Turki Al-Jamali, revealed, on Monday, that the majority of Mustafa Al-Kazemi's government figures fled for fear of impeachment and retribution for their involvement in corruption deals and crimes against the Iraqi people.
Al-Jamali said, in an interview with his independent follow-up, that "many former government officials who are facing charges of corruption and theft of public money managed to escape."
He added, "After the Sudanese government assumed power, the majority of the figures in power over the necks of the Iraqi people disappeared, and by direct orders from Al-Kazemi, whether they were ministers or influential people or within the Diwaniyah matter committee headed by Ahmed Abu Ragheef, as well as a group of advisors.
Al-Jamali pointed out that "the accused face complaints under penalty of legal accountability, stressing that most of the fugitives remain in neighboring countries."
And a member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Mustafa Jabbar Sanad, in a press statement followed by the Independent, called on the government to move the recovery department and the international police to pursue the wanted and corrupt advisors of Al-Kazemi involved in stealing public funds who fled outside Iraq.
