Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani promised today, Saturday, to solve a problem facing the Yazidi component. This came during his meeting with the delegation of the United Nations Human Settlements Program / UN HABITAT, headed by the Program Director in Iraq, Wael Al-Ashhab, according to a statement received by Shafaq News Agency.
The meeting witnessed a discussion of the conditions of the displaced Iraqis of the Yazidi religion, and the most important obstacles that prevent the completion of their settlement in their historical areas.

During the meeting, Al-Sudani received the summary of a study prepared by the program, which included a census of the Yazidi population who had previously received 14,000 residential plots of land since 1975, and had not been legally owned by them until now, and the policies of the expelled regime prevented the completion of their ownership.
Al-Sudani also indicated the importance of this measure, and that the government is working on developing a comprehensive and permanent solution to this issue, by presenting it to the Council of Ministers and taking the necessary decision in this regard.
He emphasized that "Sinjar and the tragedy to which the original Iraqi Yazidi component was subjected are present in the minds and presented in the ministerial curriculum, in order to provide justice to all those who have been subjected to injustice and the brutality of terrorism."
