Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani reviewed the latest procedures for transferring ownership of the lands allocated for the construction of the New Sadr City project, and preparations to implement the basic designs of the project and its annexes.
This came during his chairmanship of the fifth meeting on the New Sadr City project, today, Wednesday.
He also reviewed, according to a statement issued by his media office, the requirements for conducting laboratory tests related to work safety in order to begin the construction process.
Al-Sudani stressed that “the implementation of the project’s infrastructure must be announced soon, after which work will begin on implementing the first phase of housing units, in order to accelerate the completion of this strategic and important project for the citizens of Sadr City and its surrounding areas, which will constitute a qualitative shift in urban housing in The capital, Baghdad.
