    Baghdad today-Baghdad
A feature that dominates the government of Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani at the present time has caught the attention of observers of political affairs and aroused their interest. Far from the “revenge pursuits” and arrests that were diagnosed in previous governments, the al-Sudanese government focuses its attention on “recovering money” more than arrest warrants that affect only people. As was the case in previous years.
After recovering part of the money for the theft of the century, which amounted to 126 million dollars, and then announcing the recovery of a new batch of 2.6 million dollars, the wife of the former director general of taxes and other suspects related to him were Over a few days ago, more than a billion Iraqi dinars were seized, and more than 500 thousand US dollars, in addition to the bonds of 11 real estate.
Today, Wednesday, the office of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani announced that the competent authorities were able to recover an amount of more than 80 million dollars from the stolen funds and re-enter them into the treasury state.
Hours later, the head of the Integrity Commission, Haider Hanoun, announced that 3 million dollars would soon be recovered from a neighboring country.

These millions of dollars, which began to be recovered rapidly, prompted the formation of a conviction among observers and those interested in political affairs that the Sudanese is leading a "different" campaign against corruption, whose first goal is "pragmatic" and not "retaliatory." In order to restore the largest possible amount of money to the state treasury and invest it.
Says a professor at the University of Baghdad who is interested in political affairs d. Adel Watan, that "the Sudanese is taking the difficult path," adding that "actual steps have been taken to recover the looted money."
He added, "The path of a thousand miles in fighting corruption and reining in the corrupt begins with clear orders from the prime minister and the judiciary will be the final judge."
