    Today, Sunday, the General Traffic Directorate confirmed that the fine for tampering or concealing vehicle registration plates amounts to 100,000 dinars.

    And the Traffic Directorate stated, in a statement, that "the general traffic detachments in Baghdad and the provinces are continuing, and according to the directives of the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and the supervision and follow-up of the Director of General Traffic, Major General Tariq Al-Rubaie, to monitor all vehicles with distorted or manipulated numbers."

    He added, "General Traffic decided to impose a fine of 100,000 Iraqi dinars, according to Article 25 Second (C) of Traffic Law No. 8 of 2019," noting that "the violation of manipulation or distortion of vehicle numbers is considered a criminal traffic violation that has legal consequences." ".

    According to the statement, the General Traffic Department called on "all motorists to be aware of the seriousness of this violation and to stay away from it, as it is a criminal violation. The violator with the vehicle is referred to the competent authorities and in accordance with the law."
